I just got a computer and am currently running Windows Vista Ultimate. I tried to download all the extras to see how they would run. Is it not smart to do that, it took almost 3 days to download? All the language packs etc… It is almost reloading from the boot up because I had to restart by turning it off. I plan to upgrade to Windows 7 soon. FML

all vista stuff works with windows 7. including vistas drivers. MOST of windows xp programs will work with 7. For the ones that do not it has XP mode which is a virtual Windows xp installation for those stubborn programs

nope, because I have two HDD’s, it picked up both, I chose a spare 80Gb to install Windows 7 on and after restarting you just get the same boot menu as in this video i.e

Obviously if you have only one HDD and enough space, you can use Partition Magic or Windows disk management to partition your HDD then select the partition to install Windows 7 on.
But apart from that, back to the original answer…nope, no dual-boot software. =)

I’ve been using Win7 Ultimate for about a week or so now over XP, I think Microsoft really have done a good job with this OS…dual booting XP and Windows 7, XP on one HDD and 7 on another.
