How to theme Windows Vista

Part one tutorial
1st. download these 3 .dll files from this site. choose windows vista and if you have sp1 choose sp1 or choose sp0 for the default vista.

2.extract the files
3. create restore point - right click my computer choose properties and click the advanced system settings. from there click system protection and wait for the page to refresh. click create at the bottom, input name and ok
4.download ownership reg edit.

5. run the 1st reg edit.
6.go to

and search for (exactly as this is put)

| themeui.dll OR uxtheme.dll OR shsvcs.dll |
(capital OR are important)
7. find the .dll files you searched and rename there extentions to .dll.old (.old) all 3 files
8. now copy the 3 download .dll files into the

9. go to part two of the video

1st. open up

2.download this test theme(my favorite so far)

3. extract it to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes
4.make sure themes are not inside folders inside folders.
5. right click desktop and click properties.
6. click personalize color & appearance
7. click open classic (at bottom)
8. choose your theme (themes based off aero need aero on and will have aero names, distinguish em by the picture.
